4 Wedding Flower Examples You’ll Fall in Love With

Moody Floral Style

A moody floral style is a sophisticated and elegant floral style that typically mixes rich, dark burgundy, black, and navy blooms. Previous clients of mine, Ivana and Will, wanted a moody floral style for their wedding in July.

Typically, a moody floral style is paired with the changing of the seasons. However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t use this style throughout the entire year - it really depends more on your color palette and theme and if this floral style helps enhance both.

This style is full of textured botanic elements and is effortlessly elegant. Some blooms you can use for this style are dahlias, red roses, and cosmos. This isn’t a style that typically mixes in additional greenery, as the goal is to let the vibrant tones and textures shine without being overwhelmed by additional elements.

Ivana and Will chose a stunning color palette that seamlessly complemented their venue, and I based their moody florals on both. Check out the full gallery, which exemplifies a moody floral style here

Who is a moody floral style for?

Opting for a moody floral style is ideal for you if you’re captivated by cool, somber, and soothing color tones. It’s also for you if you want floral arrangements that are elevated and stylish and you crave something a bit more dramatic and dark.

Garden fresh floral style

A garden-fresh arrangement has the appearance of freshly gathered flowers from a garden put on display. This style embodies a loose floral arrangement mixed with lots of greenery and flowers with captivating pops of colors.

Previous clients of mine, Erin and Dustin, chose a garden fresh floral style for their celebration. Erin’s bridal bouquet included (a fan favorite) Clair De Lune peonies, fresh mint, and a special request for a few sprigs of lavender as a nod to her late grandmother. It truly smelled like the best garden fresh bouquet you’ve ever smelt!

Other flowers that you might see in this style include garden roses, ranunculus, blue tweedia dahlias, and spray garden roses. Check out a full gallery of Erin and Dustin’s garden fresh floral arrangements here

Who is a garden fresh floral style for?

This is the perfect style if you want floral arrangements that appear as if the blooms have just been cut fresh from your garden and you are drawn to natural, organic, and lush floral arrangements. A garden fresh floral style beautifully compliments a rustic theme wedding or an outdoor summer celebration.

Romantic, whimsical, floral style

When you think of a romantic floral design, the picture that likely comes to mind is a delicate arrangement full of lush flowers and intricate details. So, how can a romantic floral style also have a touch of whimsy?

I achieve a romantic and whimsical look by pairing large, full blooms with smaller, more delicate flowers, or I like to add in some unconventional elements such as trailing vines or dried flowers.

Previous clients of mine, Nairi and Nick, wanted a romantic and whimsical floral style that was textured to blend seamlessly with a breathtaking mountain wedding setting. Check out all of the different romantic, whimsical floral arrangements I created for their celebration in a full gallery here

Who is a romantic, whimsical, floral style for?

A romantic, whimsical floral arrangement is for you if you want to create an enchanting, fairytale atmosphere at your wedding. This style seamlessly blends romance, cascading flowers, ethereal blooms, and unique accents such as trailing ribbons.

Whimsical, colorful floral style

A whimsical and colorful floral style is both playful and vibrant. It is all about experimenting with color and being creative! For instance, you could have a bright and playful arrangement, a pastel arrangement, or an eclectic and bold arrangement.

This style fully embodies the unexpected, such as mixing in unconventional elements like dried botanicals, greenery, branches, feathers, etc.

Chelsey and Nate wanted a whimsical, colorful floral style to match their dreamy day. To fully dial into this floral style, I made sure to add in a pop of orange to their arrangements. Their whimsical and colorful floral arrangements still linger in my mind as they were simply swoon-worthy.

I personally love this floral style as it appears natural and effortless—it’s not a style with a rigid, uniform structure. Check out more photos of Chelsey and Nate’s floral arrangements from their wedding here.
